Chris Schnack - Bass
Dr. Clare Hansson is known as “Queensland's First Lady Of Jazz”. Steeped in classical music as a child, Clare is passionate about the music of Bach and inspired by the style of French pianist Jacques Loussier. Playing solo for a 4MBS Festival in 2005 gave birth to this project in collaboration with a sympathetic double bassist.
Chris Schnack has partnered Clare in many jazz excursions, and just hours prior to his departure for New Zealand, the two musicians headed for the recording studio at The University of Queensland. Although highly respected as a jazzman, Chris is also proficient on trumpet, trombone, bass trombone, tuba, bass guitar and percussion.
