SLOW PROGRESSION TO OPEN DOORS

Clare Hansson, a seven-year veteran of the Brisbane Jazz scene, remains one of the city’s most popular drawcards.  The Clare Hansson Trio – Clare, her son bassist Phil Hansson and drummer Bob Watson – perform at the CremorneTheatre, Performing Arts Complex, from February 9 to 11.  Singer Chris Young will share equal billing for the three evening performances.  To understand anything at all about Clare Hansson, it is necessary to understand her complete and utter dedication to music.  Music is still her lifelong quest – and she has literally travelled the world to see and hear her jazz piano idols – and she practices for hours each day.
